Day 1
On the first day of the peer teaching on 1st February I took the topic "boiling point of water from the unit water. The class has started by introducing the topic water .The question asked was how many glasses of water you drink daily. Sudents are showed an experiment video and from that they are able to understand that boiling point of water is a temperature at which a liquid boils at normal atmospheric pressure . boiling point of water is hundred degree Celsius. Ganesh tattoo it was given based on pressure cooker working from that it says that water pressure cooker boils at 100 degree Celsius. They were almost studying students in the class.students gave a good response to ask questions asked. Blackboard was used . Charts and activity cards are given. Review questions were asked and at last and recent activity was given. Students were asked to find out why steam causes more severe burns than boiling water at same temperature. The class was for half an hour.
DAY 2
On the second day I took the topic heat capacity of water from the unit water. The first activity was given which helps to identify that water has the ability to hold more heat when compared to other substances. Students gave a good response to the questions asked. Teacher try to take the class with high motivation and stimulus variation was included. Questions were asked frequently. Students wear divided into groups to discuss the activity. The second activity given was to write down the uses of water based on the heat capacity. Learning apps like blackboard chat an activity cards were used. Review questions and enrichment activity were given. Students are advised to revise their textbook and ask the doubts.
DAY 3
ON THE THIRD DAY I TOOK THE TOPIC FREEZING POINT OF WATER FROM THE UNIT WATER. Teacher has started the class by saying friendly talks.The teacher asked the student what happens to the ice if you take it in a cup of water. From the first activity given, students were able to understand that freezing point of liquid is the temperature at which it is freeze a solid at normal atmospheric pressure. Many questions regarding this are asked. Students understood that freezing point of water is 0 degree Celsius. The second activity describe about the anomalous behaviour of water.students were able to understand that these animals behaviour only aquatic life in water is possible below 4 degree Celsius in cold regions. Atlast consolidation was given. Students were given the review questions and enrichment activity. Learning aids were used black blackboard chart and activity card. Students are asked to read the text books.
DAY-4
ON THE FOURTH DAY OF THE PEER TEACHING CLASS I TOOK THE TOPIC SURFACE TENSION OF WATER FROM THE UNIT WATER. First the teacher makes a friendly talks with the students.teacher asks student the question that why the blade doesn't sink when it is placed on the surface of water. Students were able to understand the concept of structural astec membrane which causes surface tension. the second activity given was to make them understand that surface tension acts in the way to reduce the surface area of a liquid.
Atlast closure was given followed by review questions and enrichment activity which was to find out the methods used to reduce the surface tension of liquids and present it in the classroom.
DAY 5
ON THE FIFTH DAY OF THE PEER TEACHING I TOOK THE TOPIC COMPONENTS OF WATER FROM THE UNIT WATER FOLLOWING THE INQUIRY TRAINING MODEL. Teacher also students to conduct an experiment and and students were asked to ask the answers in a yesfyes or no format.through this they were able to understand that water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen and if we decompose water we get hydrogen and oxygen. Teacher explain the topics well to the students. Chart was shown.students evaluate themselves how they studied through the inquiry training model.
