Online School teaching Second week ((15/02/2021) to (19/02/2021))

 

SECOND WEEK

Day -1

The first class of  online school teaching in second week start on 15/02/2021 Monday. The topic of class was salt and uses of salt from the chapter acid bases and salts. The class started at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 9 pm. From English and Malayalam medium 15 students attend the class.The method of writing chemical formula of salts had discussed  in the class. Activities regarding chemical formula of salts were given to the student. Uses of salt is given as a homework.

Day 2

On 16/02/2021 tuesday, at 8:30 second class held with 18 students. The class deals with physics topic work in the chapter work energy power. Lot of activities regarding work and displacement and discussed in the class. Students had actively participated in the discussion and they give good responses. Homework regarding work is given to the students and the class winded up at 9 o'clock.

On the same day the eleventh five year teaching topic taken was sources of sound from the unit sound. The teacher had given the activity model class. The teacher gives the video containing many sounds and ask them to classify the most natural and manmade sources of sound.source of sound m, vibrating part and collecting parts where taught.students were asked the questions frequently and they were good response.Students were encouraged for telling the right answers.they were able to understand that objects that produce sound are known as source of sound.The sound sources can be classified into man made and natural source of sound. At last closure was given followed by review questions and enrichment activity.students are asked to find out why same ambition cost difference on different objects. They were advised to read the textbook. Students are asked  to bring their notebook completed by tomorrow.




Day 3





The third day which was in 17/02/2021 Wednesday, the class started at 8:30 with 17 students. The different types of work discussed in the class. Some problem type questions regarding work were discussed in the class. Homework were given to the students to find out more examples for positive work negative work and zero work. Class ended at 9:05 pm.

on the same day The twelveth peer teaching class was taken following the advance organiser model on the topic sound characteristics pitch and loudness from the unit sound of 9th standard physics.students are Australian the conduct after teacher essay in paragraph on our what are the difference between sounds which is more sharp which is more The teacher asked to compare the sound of the crow and tiger male and female voice. And here the characteristics of sound is pitch and loudness is said. Teacher presence the content to thestudents .teacher explains and clarifies doubt and other works are asked by the students.



Day 4


On 18/02/2021 Thursday the fourth day of of class held with 12 students. The class was based on topic  energy. Kinetic energy, momentum and the expression for kinetic energy discussed  in the class. Some problems regarding kinetic energy where given to the students as a homework. The class started at 8:30 and ended at 9 o'clock

on the 13th day of the peer teaching class ,class followed concept attainment model on the topic noise pollution in the unit sound.students were given the positive and negative examples and set them to find out the common characteristics among them.

Students were able to answer some of the points teacher asked what is noise pollution what are the advantages and disadvantages of noise pollution.teacher explain the concept Van at last review questions were asked.

 



Day 5


The last day of class was held on 19/02/2021 Friday with 14 students. The class started at 8:30 pm with the topic work energy principle, kinetic energy-momentum relation. Students had actively participated in the discussion. The class ended at 9 pm and the students were given homework regarding kinetic energy and momentum.

On the 14th day of the peer teaching followed inquiry training model was used. The topic taken was propagation of sound from the unit sound. Teacher conduct some experiment and and say students to ask questions in yes or no format. The topic was explained to the students. Students are able to understand that a medium is necessary for propagation of sound. The teacher asked students to evaluate themselves based on the topic. Closure was given.

Online School teaching first week ((8/02/2021) to (12/02/2021))

FIRST WEEK

DAY 1

 The first class of online school teaching started at 8/2/2021. Monday I taught students of class 9 of Government High School thirupuram.My session deals with the acid bases and salts which is chapter 5 in chemistry . The  class commenced at 8:30 p.m.  Class was  a combination of 20 students from Malayalam and English medium. The topic of my class was acids,common components in acids from the unit acids base and salt .Asha teacher who is the class teacher attend the class up to 9 o'clock.The class was based on activity model . Students were very energetic and responded smartly,gave homework and winded up at 9 o'clock.

The sixth peer teaching class was taken on the same day on  the topic soft water and hard water from the unit water. The class was followed activity model. Students were asked the question that in which solution the Soap lather more by showing a video which contains the chloride ,sulphate bicarbonates of calcium and magnesium and also pure water.students were able to understand that the soap which does not lather more is hard water.through the second activity they were able to understand about the temporary hardness and permanent hardness.questions were asked frequently to the students to improve their knowledge on the topic. At last review questions and enrichment activity are given.



Day 2

The second day which was in 9/2 /21 tuesday , the topic I taught was basicity of acid and acid rain.Class began at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 9:05 p.m. Lot of activities were conducted by assigning certain homework class ended.

on the same day the seventh peer  teaching class was taken. The topic taken was water the universal solvent from the unit water.

Teacher dissolves table salt vinegar and sugar in a glass tumblers separately and ask them to taste it. And from that she asked question that what do you observe in the experiment ,what may be the reason. students were able to understand that when substance is dissolved in water it takes a taste of substance. The second activity indicates that bottle with acid content becomes acidic and water with alkali drops becomes alkaline and pure water is neutral solution. learning aids  like activity cards, blackboard and charts where used.At last review questions and interesting activity were given.




 Day 3

At the third day of class which was held on 10/2/21 Wednesday, 15 students were present. Students from English and Malayalam medium where present in the class. The topic taught was alkali and Aprrhenius theory.Class began at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 9:00 p.m. Lot of activities were assigned to the students.

Day 4


On 11/02/21 Thursday, the fourth day of same class was held with 20 students. The the class was based on neutralization reaction, antacids and  PH value. Class started at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 10:00 p.m. homework were given to the students.

the eighth class of peer teaching was on the topic substitution reactions, from the unit chemical reactions of organic compounds.The class followed activity model. Students where given explanation to organic compounds and variety of carbon compounds and at last they  were taught substitution reactions.activities were given to complete the table and also to find out the compounds when ethane  undergo reactions with chlorine.




Day 5

The last day of class was held on 12/02/2021, Friday with the 14 students.The topic taught was salt and radicals.Class started at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 9.05 pm.Many home work were given to the students.

IX class of peer teaching was taken on the same date on the topic addition reaction from the unit chemical reactions of organic compounds. PowerPoint presentation was used in the class.students has shown the examples of addition reaction and define the addition reactions they were given the activity to name the product obtained by reaction of unsaturated compounds. Students are able to understand that unsaturated compounds such compounds with double or triple bond react to the other molecules to form saturated components through addition reactions. At last questions were asked and and homework was given to write a note on addition reaction.


WEEKELY PEER REPORT(01/02/2021-05/02/2021)

 Day 1

On the first day of the peer teaching on 1st February I took the topic "boiling point of water from the unit water. The class has started by introducing the topic water .The question asked was how many glasses of water you drink daily. Sudents are showed an experiment video and from that they are able to understand that boiling point of water is a temperature at which a liquid boils at normal atmospheric pressure .  boiling point of water is hundred degree Celsius. Ganesh tattoo it was given based on pressure cooker working from that it says that water pressure cooker boils at 100 degree Celsius. They were almost studying students in the class.students  gave a good response to ask questions asked. Blackboard was used . Charts and activity cards are given. Review questions were asked and at last and recent activity was given. Students were asked to find out why steam causes more severe burns than boiling water at same temperature. The class was for half an hour.


DAY 2

On the second day I took the topic heat capacity of water from the unit water. The first activity was given which helps to identify that water has the ability to hold more heat when compared to other substances. Students gave a good response to the questions asked. Teacher try to take the class with high motivation and stimulus variation was included. Questions were asked frequently. Students wear divided into groups to discuss the activity. The second activity given was to write down the uses of water based on the heat capacity. Learning apps like blackboard chat an activity cards were used. Review questions and enrichment activity were given. Students are advised to revise their textbook and ask the doubts.



DAY 3


ON THE THIRD DAY I TOOK THE TOPIC FREEZING POINT OF WATER FROM THE UNIT WATER. Teacher has started the class by saying friendly talks.The teacher asked the student what happens to the ice if you take it in a cup of water. From the first activity given, students were able to understand that freezing point of liquid is  the temperature at which it is freeze a solid at normal atmospheric pressure. Many questions regarding this are asked. Students understood that freezing point of water is 0 degree Celsius. The second activity describe about the anomalous behaviour of water.students were able to understand that these animals behaviour only aquatic life in water is possible below 4 degree Celsius in cold regions. Atlast consolidation was given. Students were given the review questions and enrichment activity. Learning aids were used black blackboard chart and activity card. Students are asked to read the text books.


DAY-4

ON THE FOURTH DAY OF THE PEER TEACHING CLASS I TOOK THE TOPIC SURFACE TENSION OF WATER FROM THE UNIT WATER. First the teacher makes a friendly talks with the students.teacher asks student the question that why the blade doesn't sink when it is placed on the surface of water. Students were able to understand the concept of structural astec membrane which causes surface tension. the second activity given was to make them understand that surface tension acts in the way to reduce the surface area of a liquid.

Atlast closure was given followed by review questions and enrichment activity which was to find out the methods used to reduce the surface tension of liquids and present it in the classroom.


DAY 5


ON THE FIFTH DAY OF THE PEER TEACHING I TOOK THE TOPIC COMPONENTS OF WATER FROM THE UNIT WATER FOLLOWING THE INQUIRY TRAINING MODEL. Teacher also students to conduct an experiment and and students were asked to ask the answers in a yesfyes or no format.through this they were able to understand that water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen and if we decompose water we get hydrogen and oxygen. Teacher explain the topics well to the students. Chart was shown.students evaluate themselves how they studied through the inquiry training model.
